Standards of Behaviour and Dress
We at Spalding Golf Club possess a pride in our club and wish other golfers to enjoy our
hospitality and the challenge of our course. However, as a private members club, whilst we welcome visitors, we do expect those sampling our hospitality to abide by the standards set by our members. For your guidance these are set out below
ON THE COURSE - BEHAVIOUR
1) Please be courteous to other players
2) Concentrate on keeping up with the match ahead, not keeping ahead of the match behind.
3) Mobile telephones are not allowed
ON THE COURSE - DRESS
1) Smart, tidy appearance is required at all times.
2) Jeans, tee shirts, collar-less shirts, shirts with large logos and / or numbers, tracksuits and trainers are NOT permitted
3) Golf shoes only will be worn.
4) Tailored shorts may only be worn with EITHER coloured knee-length hose OR
predominantly white sports socks.
5) Trousers may NOT be tucked into socks.
6) Shirts must be tucked into waistbands
WITHIN THE CLUBHOUSE and PATIO AREA - BEHAVIOUR
1) Please be courteous to other members and visitors
2) Loud behaviour, rudeness, swearing and drunkenness will not be tolerated.
WITHIN THE CLUBHOUSE and PATIO AREA- DRESS
The same as the course :-
1) Except shorts are not permitted in the dining room
2) Smart casual wear is allowed at all times except in the dining room where a tailored shirt
( not a polo shirt ) must be worn after 7.00pm and Sunday lunchtime
3) Golf shoes of any type, are not allowed in the lounge or the dining room.
4) Players are expected to change out of the clothing worn on the course when taking evening meals in the restaurant.
5) Open toed footwear such as sandals can only be worn with socks.
Please do not place the Club and yourselves in an embarrassing position, as you will be asked to leave the course if you are not adhering to the dress code.
